Make Resolutions, Goals, or a Cocktail?
Happy New Year!
So, I’ve been
contemplating the state of the planet and my role in it, during this first
month of the New Year. I made a cocktail when I realized how frustrating that
can be ... so are you making resolutions, goals, or like me, frustrated and making a cocktail?

GO-NO-GO (ʹgō-ʹnō-,gō; ca. 1945) adj. – 1) being or relating to a required decision to continue or stop a course of action*; 2) being or relating to a point at which a go-no-go decision must be made. [*Might I also add, “or create”? WW-M #313]
Just an observation ... you would think this is a simple course of action. But making decisions can be agonizingly difficult. Much too often, we hesitate ... hesitate too long and your decision may ultimately be a go-no-go made by someone else, taking all control, for better or for worse, out of your hands.
I’m sure you know the old saying, “He who hesitates is lost” ... but interestingly, its origin in an 18th century play (Cato; 1713) by Joseph Addison, actually says, “The woman that deliberates is lost.” Yes, you gotta love those old-fashioned male-dominated sayings. Does it truly matter who said it?
Breathe.
Trust your instincts.
Then come to a sage, go-no-go conclusion.
